Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide.. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends. Teachers can use this in a classroom for many different activities; the students can do an assignment where they have to describe themselves (as we did), name the 50 states, make a list of pronouns or describe their summer. This tool can be a fun get to know you assignment, have all the kids bring a picture in and below have their Wordle picture!
